Anne Joyce is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in the theatre. It was there she first studied photography. Discovering a way to merge her passion for acting and photography, she became a film set photographer for many years. Taking a break from film sets, she has starting focusing on her own projects. Anne was selected to participate in the Art and Commerce Festival of Emerging Photographers and the Guess Behind the Lens exhibitions. Recently Anne has explored the polaroid format, by shooting with a land camera and printing onto polaroid paper from a daylab. The color interpretations, size, and intimacy of the polaroid suit a feeling of nostalgia and beauty that appeal to her. In December 2008 Anne had her first solo show, "A Celebration of the Polaroid".
